For struggling Mongolian families, the idea of a college education can seem very remote—even impossible. You can change that right here, right now.

The Objective of Mongolia 21|21 is to locate 21 US service clubs to partner with Friends of Mongolia (FOM). The clubs will collectively provide 21 full-tuition scholarships for 21 Mongolian students – one student from each of the 21 provinces. The cost is just $2,000 per student per year. The goal is to have one sponsored student from every province by the start of the 2025-2026 academic year.

Herder families often sell part of their herd to pay tuition fees so that their children can obtain higher education. The average income in Mongolia is about $390 per month. Students may come to universities and incur overwhelming debt or guilt regarding their family’s sacrifice to send them to college. They attempt to work full time or part time jobs to pay off debt or to send money to their families for basic necessities.

It's an outsized opportunity to bring education to a deserving Mongolian at just $2,000 per year/student. Interested? Contact Gwenn Carr to get started.
